MAKE IT BIGGER
I’m calling this one “completed” before I go too far into territory I do not know and ruin the whole thing. It’s happened a lot in the past, so bear with me. I plan to have the speedpaint video released on Wednesday.
I actually quite like how this character turned out in the end. The vision I had for her at the start matched her pretty well in the end. I believe I did a good job at fusing Vi and Camille together, even if it seemed to have favored Vi more. I don’t actually know too much about Camille, other than she’s got pointy sword-feet. Vi is a character too: punk girl smash things with mechanical hulk hands.
What I ended up with as a result of fusing Vi and Camille together was a high society, high class, cyborg, kind of gangster-mobster girl. On her fists and feet are solid spikes, put in more pain and punishment on her already mean attacks. Her kicks and punches are pulse-propelled, courtesy of Piltover engineering. As she winds up a punch by bringing her fist back, a pulse-engine extends and rapidly contracts to maximize her punching power. Her legs work in a similar fashion.
About the Character:
Vacelli was originally born in Zaun, the underbelly metropolis overshadowed by Piltover, the City of Progress.
Zaun, also known as the City of Privileges, it is a place both supported and ruined by unchecked industry, mercantilism, and magic run amok. The pollution from the countless factories and laboratories is constantly spewed into the environment. The urban heart of the city-state is often choked with smog that blocks the morning sun and drains the sky of its pastels. Visitors have called the sky the “Zaun Gray”, and describe staring up at it akin to seeing the beginnings of a cosmic disturbance. As polluted as Zaun is above-ground, its subterranean levels are far worse. All of Zaun’s runoff waste pools together in its sewers, mixing together into toxic and mysterious concoctions.
Vacelli had a small family, as was usually the one holding it together. A born leader type, able to keep what little she had in many unfriendly territories. She practically lived right on the other side of the wall to a factory of some kind. What exactly the factory was making is hard to decide, and not at all that unusual compared to what other factories carried. Whatever it was, was very volatile however. There was a large explosion, debris and fire everywhere. The worst part about it, was how it seemed to stick to anything it touched. A substance that latched onto and melted through anything it touched. Vacelli’s family, and herself, were caught in it. Vacelli was able to shield herself at least a little bit, but the damage was widespread. The searing melting pain was that she could think of at the time. Her arms and legs took on a full blast of the strange deadly substance, and she would need immediate medical attention. This however, does not exist in Zaun.
People flocked to the now ruined factory to act as bystanders, onlookers to a spectacle. One man waded through the crowds towards the factory however. Viktor, a man who’s transformed his body into a mechanical nightmare under the guise of “a glorious evolution” and also wanted by several people in Piltover, takes Vacelli back to his lair. Viktor gives Vacelli new legs and arms, but only because he believed her to be a perfect specimen for his new technology.
Vacelli, homeless and alone, had planed to rise up through uncouth and unrefined means to get to higher society, to escape from Zaun’s unchecked and polluted infrastructure.
