And so it is here. February 28th, the final day of my Bootcamp.
Bootcamp was set as a time to learn pretty much all the real basic parts of drawing artwork. I can comfortably say that I can at least draw a proportional figure, give it some basic color, maybe some line work, etc etc etc.
I plan to start streaming again on twitch.tv/blokfort at 1pm-9pm CST Mon-Friday, But first I think I need to clema up the stream page a bit. There’s a lot of links and images not yet placed to make it look neat overall. I need to get banners done too. Heh, I guess the next week will be me setting up all the pretty stuff on the social media sites. I’m not sure if I’ll bother compiling all the Bootcamp posts on this website, as that would require a bit of work and I’d rather spend time on other things at the moment. Maybe in the future.
Although I said I would complete the Luvex coloring, I actually messed it up a bit and haven’t completed it yet. I’m not too sure I like the whole process of the painterly colring in general. It just feels like it takes a really long time. It’s probably just because I’ve never really done it before, but I constantly feel like I have no idea what I’m doing with it. There’s no feeling of “well, this doesnt feel right,” or “this feels pretty good here.” It just feels… I don’t even know. Nothing, I guess.
I’ll also be trying out a new thing where I toss hunter troupes into a “spin the wheel” randomizer, and try to draw that character for the day. Today, for example, was an “Orc Hunter.” I’ll be cleaning it the lines Other examples will be “Ghoul Huntress,” or “A Demon, who is a Hunter”
I also tried out some wacky coloring on the RinTheYordle drawing. I’m not too sure I like it either, as it just feels like a mess of color, lighing and shading. But, despite all this, I’m pretty happy with the work I put into it.
Schedule wise, and artwise, I don’t really know what I’ll do next to be honest, besides the hunter characters. It would make it easier for me if people just asked me to draw stuff, but that’s not always going to happen. (Heh, and actually, no one’s really asked yet anyway.)
Random Though: I might stick to doing more clean line art styled drawings, as it makes coloring a lot easier. It does take a while to do sometimes though. Mostly depends on how many fiddley-bits a drawing has really. The painterly stuff just takes too long for me atm, and I think I need to learn more about coloring before going into the more advanced stuff anyways.
