WHEW, December… What a (not) fun month. As said previously in November, I had spent the rest of the month in agony, pain and drugs which made it rather difficult to do anything productive. The fist half od December was actually pretty similar. I was popping Ibuprofen what seemed like hourly, and sometimes had to do some of the other harder drugs just in order to numb the pain I was getting from the surgery.

After a while I finally stopped needing any of the drugs and could focus on getting things done again. I’ve reworked a lot of the commission’s information pages and plan to do so again once I’m home again, I’ve created yet another inking brush that I love and cherish, and pieced together a small list of projects that I feel I should be completing for various reasons. Projects such as comic making! I plan to make a (nsfw) frame-by-frame comic featuring 2 OCs (original characters) full inked and cel-shaded, and a full-fledged comic page setup, featuring another OC of mine (also nsfw). I also have plans to change webpage hosting so that I don’t have to hide my nsfw content in a corner. Once the switch is made, I’ll be putting up a button on the right for that.

Speaking of content posting, did you hear about that thing with Tumblr? I, like many artists, have decided to move away from Tumblr because the whole thing has become a large hassle to deal with. I’m still working out exactly where I’d like to post my art with the least amount of hassle to me personally, and still get those *EXPOSURE BUCKS*tm , but for now I’m currently posting my art at:

I have a few thoughts about trying out Newgrounds or Hentai Foundry as more places to post, but haven’t really done so yet. This goes for any other art gallery type website that I haven’t thought of really. Really, there’s a hole that Tumblr has made and it seems everyone is scrambling a bit to find “what works best” for posting and viewing and such. I actually don’t enjoy having to post at 6+ different locations, so I’ll most likely be cutting them off based on how much I personally like posting there as time goes on.

That’s about it for what the past month has been like. As far as the past YEAR is concerned though… I feel like, rather than making a lot of completed art, I’ve solidified my foundation a lot which means it will be a lot easier to build up from there. This WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED if it weren’t for the friends that I’ve made and their support well beyond amazing. I have loved drawing their characters and they seem to appreciate my efforts in doing so, so what more could I ask for really, right? There’s a fundamental difference between someone going “Oh hey, that’s pretty cool.” or “What character do I think you should draw? Well, it would be kind of cool if you did this one.” versus “Oh my god, can you please draw *this* character?” It gives me drive and motivation to produce the best possible work I can do so that I could possible please their wants, and in turn gives me more experience and knowledge in art in general. It makes me think “How can I do this better?” It’s a push.

I’ve also been reading a lot of stories written from these new friends, and it’s been a real treat and possibly my entry into “reading for fun“. For the longest time I’ve hated reading from books or online stuff because of various reasons. I certianly don’t hate reading these stories, that’s for sure.

As far as 2019 goes, I shall put it in a list. (Kind of like a new years resolution, right?)

  • Accepting / Announcing commissions
  • More completed art projects
  • More dynamic posing
  • Comics
  • Art classes for myself
  • Possibly re-scripting anything for Old as Ice
  • Drawing SOMETHING everyday. (Doesn’t matter what, just as long as the pencil moves across the paper.)
  • Saving money? Heh.

Honestly, there’s not a whole lot that is changing in general, except getting the “bigger” projects started and done.

So, here we go. Happy New Year!
